Alerts & Notifications

Setting up email and Slack notifications, configuring alert thresholds, and understanding escalation.

Revnoxa sends notifications when incidents are detected, when SLA deadlines are approaching, and when approvals need your attention. Notifications work via email and Slack.

Setting up email notifications

Go to Settings > Notifications. Enable email notifications and enter the recipient address - a single inbox or a team distribution list. Click Save. Revnoxa sends a test message to confirm delivery.

By default: Critical and High severity incidents trigger immediate notifications. Medium severity incidents appear in a daily digest. Low severity incidents are visible in the dashboard only.

Setting up Slack notifications

In Settings > Notifications, enable Slack and enter your Incoming Webhook URL. To create a webhook, go to your Slack workspace settings, open the Incoming Webhooks app, and create a webhook for the channel you want alerts delivered to. Paste the URL into Revnoxa and save.

You can route different severities to different Slack channels - for example, Critical incidents to #incidents-critical and High severity to #ops-alerts.

Changing alert thresholds

Go to Settings > Notifications > Thresholds to change which severity levels generate immediate notifications, daily digests, or no proactive notification. Customizable per channel and per incident type.

Escalation

If a Critical incident has not been acknowledged within 1 hour, Revnoxa sends an escalation notification to all configured channels. The escalation window is customizable in Settings > Notifications > Escalation Rules. All escalation events are logged in the incident timeline.
